Looking for a new puzzle challenge?  Try LogiCross – a new puzzle feature at Printable-Puzzles.com courtesy of Hemant Kumar Jha.

Each LogiCross consists of a quote hidden within a crossword-style grid, with a list of letters and letter-pairs provided at the bottom.  Your task is reveal the hidden quote by placing each letter and letter-pair in their appropriate place on the grid, using nothing but logic.

One new LogiCross puzzle will be made available every Saturday morning.  Happy solving!

If you’re a fan of DropQuotes.com, be sure to check out our latest addition to our Printable Puzzles site!  We’re now offering two new printable drop quote puzzles each and every day from our Printable Drop Quotes page.  Each morning we make one easy and one hard puzzle available, complete with online solutions.

If you’ve never solved a Drop Quote before, try an easy one first – they’re pretty straightforward.  Just “drop” each letter into a square in its associated column, until a hidden quote is revealed.  Once you’ve nailed a few easy ones, move on to a more challenging puzzle, with 5, 6 or even 7 or more rows!  The more rows a puzzle has, the more possible combinations there are, and the more time it will generally take to complete.

A few weeks ago we launched the redesigned word-searches.org, which included numerous improvements – most importantly, the replacement of the previous Flash-based gameboard with a completely redesigned HTML5 board.  This means the game no longer requires the Flash plugin to work – it also gives us the flexibility to start adding improvements not possible before, such as the option to turn off sounds (registered users can now click “Settings” to enabled/disable sounds).

One of the big benefits of the format change, however, is that the site now works great on both the iPhone and the iPad, as well as most other mobile and tablet devices.  Give it a try!  The site will look exactly the same in these devices until you get to the gameplay page – then you should see a fullscreen game board customized for your particular device.  Swipe a finger over any word and it will work just as if you were using a mouse!

We’re proud to announce a new expansion as of today on our Printable Puzzles site (www.printable-puzzles.com) – an entirely new section of “Number Puzzles,” provided courtesy of Engaged Learning, an Australian company specializing in games and puzzles.  The four new puzzles are Rosettas, Star Puzzles, Subaddos and Subaddos 3D.  Each of these number puzzles is similar in some ways to Sudoku, in that you must use only a series of numbers between X and Y, with no number allowed to repeat in certain areas of the puzzle.  Rosettas and Star Puzzles, like Sudoku, require no math at all – Subaddos require only simple addition and subtraction.

When Lawrence from Engaged Learning first sent us these puzzles, we were immediately hooked – and so we’ve worked with them over the past few months to make these wonderful new puzzles available on a weekly basis via Printable-Puzzles.com.  One of each puzzle-type will become available each week, for a total of four new number puzzles every seven days.  (As always, solutions are available online.)

Be sure to try out this newest puzzle craze – especially Rosettas, which are a personal favorite of mine!

Wordtwist.org has recently been upgraded to work within our new standardized Puzzle Baron design.  This also means we’ve added a number of new features to the site, including:
